My Story

Aaron is an international speaker, distinguished author, and dedicated advocate for holistic health and wellness. He offers a tailored approach to achieving optimal physical well-being for middle-aged and older individuals. With a wealth of experience spanning over nearly three decades, Aaron specializes in addressing the unique needs and aspirations of professionals with high physical ambitions but limited time or knowledge to pursue them effectively.

He began his professional journey as an occupational therapist in 1996, swiftly identifying gaps in traditional healthcare systems, particularly in catering to the long-term health goals of middle-aged adults. Fueled by a desire to innovate, Aaron founded MoveMend Rehab and Performance in April 2015, introducing the pioneering concept of PhysioCoaching—a comprehensive blend of rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and nutrition coaching tailored to individuals seeking enduring results.

In 2024 Aaron founded Healthspan PhysioCoaching, reflecting his commitment to providing a more personalized and immersive experience for discerning clients who prioritize their health and well-being. Through this exclusive offering, Aaron fosters deeper connections with individuals aspiring to unlock their full physical potential, regardless of age or prior injury history.

In addition to his clinical practice, Aaron actively conducts research on fitness and nutrition topics, striving to enhance his understanding and refine his methodologies to better serve his clientele. As a dynamic presenter, he shares his expertise with various groups and organizations, empowering them to optimize their approach to health and wellness.

On a personal level, Aaron’s pursuits extend beyond his professional endeavors. As a retired elite-amateur category 1 road cyclist, he brings a wealth of firsthand experience to his coaching practice. He enjoys an active lifestyle that includes snowboarding, skiing, strength training, and mountain biking, embodying the principles he advocates for his clients.

Accompanied by his wife Kristin, Aaron enjoys international travel, particularly when it includes adventure and experiencing diverse cultures. Aaron and Krisitn live in North Carolina with their dogs Arrow, a black lab, and Eddie, a Portuguese Water Dog.
